Bear Grylls Survival Race · 3 September 2016

Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by the sudden cardiac death. We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Did you know that around 12 young people die in the UK from undiagnosed cardiac conditions every week? Earlier this year one of my colleagues and friends was one of those young people, who is missed daily by his family and friends.

Myself and some friends, who have also recently been deeply impacted by a similar situation, are running the Bear Grylls Survival Race to raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), who raise awareness, provide free heart screenings, carry out research and support those affected by these bereavements.

We'll be facing the elements as the race includes jungle, arctic, desert and mountain themed challenges!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe - JustGiving will never sell them on or send unwanted emails. You have the option of adding 25% GiftAid too, and JustGiving sends the money directly to CRY.

Thank you so much for your donation - bring on the survival challenges!
