Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2013 · 4 August 2013 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Cripes! JustGiving page.

Are we mad? 100 miles on a bike! Sounds like something an Olympic Hero might do! Oh, wait....

We are off again. It has been 3 years since our last effort (1463 raised - thank you), so with the addition of 1 new member our team is throwing it's combined age of 152 yrs behind doubling that amazing total. MS is a disease that has affected all of our lives and the chance to ride the glorious but tough 100 mile 2012 Olympic cycling roadrace course seems like the perfect chance to get fit (!), see (a lot of) Surrey and raise money for the MS Society. Just so you are clear on this - we normally get tired driving 100 miles, the idea of cycling it is daunting to say the least. You've got to ask yourself....what would Sir Bradley do?

The MS Society provides invaluble support to people and their friends and families affected by this unpredictable and - as yet - incurable neurological disease. About 1500 people are diagnosed each year, mainly young women, making it the most common disabling disorder in young adults.

As well as suppling grants, campaigning for change, providing information and investing in specialists the MS Society provides much needed funding into research, 133 million has been invested since 1956. Treatments will come but money must be raised.

Please dig deep. This is not going to be a walk in the park for any of us (the safe money is on Neil). We have been promised a Mall greeting party but raising a large amount for charity is going to be our much needed incentive after about mile 60! We will be posting training updates/stretching photos here.

Apparently Box Hill isn't even going to be the hard part.

Please give genorously, we have a big target and cycling 100 miles is going to be tough.

Jeepers....

Thank you!

Cass, Neil, Jon, Sarah, Neil (and Emma!).
