Epic Bike Ride II - Hadrian's Wall · 1 June 2019

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page.

Between 1st and 5th June, my Dad and I will embark on the 174 mile (280km) journey from Ravenglass (Cumbria, North West coast of the UK) along the route of Hadrian's Wall finishing in Tynemouth (in Tyne & Wear on the North East coast) together.  It will be a challenging but truly wonderful experience to share together.

My Dad is a very special man who has had his fair share of heart problems.  He remains a keen cyclist and some of my fondest childhood memories are of bike rides together around Rutland Water, on the Tissington Trail or following the Marathon route in London.  After the truly life changing and amazing time we had last year cycling 170 miles along The Way of The Roses we decided (immediately on finishing Epic Bike Ride I) to DO ANOTHER bike ride together !

I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
