The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.

Story

I am quite heavily involved with rigby both locally as secretary of Newtown RFC and also as Chairman of the North Wales Rugby Council. Unfortunately a number of clubs, including ourselves, have had to call on the Air Ambulance Service. I dread to think what may have happened to the injured players were it not for the speedy and professional who attended. With the financial pressure on the health service in general, and rural areas in particular, the service provoided by Air Ambulance is absolutely vital, not only in sporting terms of course, but also for industrial and road accidents, serious illnesses etc. Every person should donate to support the serice, and I am delighted to say that Newtown Rugby Club had adopted the Air Ambulance Service as it\'s nominated charity for this coming year. We look forwad to helping raise as much as possible.
