Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Lisa Wilson-Hargreaves, 22 years old lost her courageous fight on the 1st Aug 2005. Lisa the 'Pizza' had Acute Myloid Leukemia(AML) but never once did she ever give up, and showed true 'fight & spirit'.
Lisa is my daughter, sister of Hayley and Callum and the dog Rooney.
Since being diagnosed in April 2004 I looked after and cared for Lisa until the final moments of her life. If it was not for Hayley (aged 19) looking after Callum (15) whilst in her first year at university, throughout Lisa being seriously ill I could not have dedicated all my time and energy to Lisa. It turned out to be a real team effort with everyone pulling in the right direction for the sake of Lisa, including Gary her husband and Laura Lisa's best friend who were there every step of the way. I am running the Marathon in memory of Lisa and have just registered a charity named L.I.S.A. this stands for "Leukemia Inspires Spirit and Amazing Fight" Since Lisa was diagnosed this statement reflects how Lisa dealt with AML throughout the last 16 months of her life. I am so lucky to have had a daughter like Lisa she really is a true inspiration and when I get to 24 miles of the Marathon she will be shouting "COME ON DAD GET A MOVE ON YOU CAN DO IT!" Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Anthony Nolan Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.
