Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Evie contracted meninngococcal septeceamia on march 10th 08. She was heavily sedated and on life support for 4 days! We had no warning signs until the very last minute. She was 2 years old, and had many different machines keeping her heart beating, helping her breath, sleep and stay alive, the doctors told us to prepare for the worst, I couldn't breathe, I would of done anything to have swapped places with my little angel that night, she looked so fragile and lifeless but amazingly after 7 days she wakes up with every digit, every limb and more importantly her life in tact. 5 yrs on, with no major side effects, Evie has been kick boxing and weapon training for almost 2 years now and enters as many competitions as she can. Now thats a true fighter! Evie is living proof that not all meningitus stories have an unhappy ending. We were extremely lucky, but this isn't the case for many families. Please have a heart and think about what these families have been through/ are going through.
