Evie Schofield is raising money for Spinal Injuries Association
Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·
Dear Friends..... This is the first time that I have decided to do anything as big as run the Flora London Marathon for charity. Last year I was pleased to participate in the Exeter half marathon and generate £400 for Cancer research. I was inspired to do something for others less fortunate than myself when I was involved in a car crash that left me with a broken pelvis and on crutches for three months in 2006. I vowed then, that if I made a good enough recovery I would do something to benefit others affected by injury or illness. It is only when you have had your freedom taken from you that you can really appreciate how difficult it must be for those who spend their lives in a wheelchair, or suffering with illness. With your help i hope to raise £1,500 for Spinal Injuries. I have chosen to run for this charity because my father became a paraplegic after a horrific helicopter accident, in which his spine was broken in several places. I never stop thinking how lucky I am that he is still here ...... Please help me raise this money. My promise to you is that I will ensure I run the 26.2 miles to the finish line..... if you can dig deep in your pocket and give to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Every penny counts!!!!!!! Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much for your support. Evie xxxx |
