Story
I never thought I would run a marathon. I don't think any of my friends or family thought I would run a marathon. But on April 23rd I will be doing my level best to struggle 26 miles through London.
The Henderson family are my inspiration. Ten years ago, they lost Charlie to diabetes at the age of 21. He was a friend of mine, a cricketing teammate and a wonderful guy. No one deserves to lose a child to this terrible disease.
Please help me raise as much as I can for this outstanding charity, which is dedicated to finding a cure for juvenile diabetes. Any contribution you can muster will be gratefully received - no matter how small. A single pound will mean everything. I will do everything I can to last the course on April 23rd.
Donating through this site is simple, fast, totally secure and anonymous if you prefer. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
A huge thank you for your support.
Alastair
