Story
On 20thJune 2019, I am undertaking an incredible personal challenge; consisting of an early morning 10km swim across Lake Windermere followed by the Windermere Marathon. A 30-mile cycle ride back to school in Sedbergh will complete the challenge – all in a day!
I am completing this epic challenge with two friends. We started training in November and although we have found it tough, we are all very excited to raise money for three amazing charities.
I am hoping to raise funds for the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust (CWMT). The Trust has a vision where people understand and talk openly about depression, where young people know how to maintain wellbeing and where the most appropriate treatment is available to everyone who needs it (https://www.cwmt.org.uk/about-charlie). Sadly, I am all too aware of the ravages that mental health problems can have on so many young people. CWMTalso encourages those that are well to pick up on the symptoms in others and persuade them to get help. This charity means a lot to me as I have personal connections to it, so to be able to support them means a lot to me.
I would be so very grateful for your donation, and even more grateful for any support on June 20th.
