During my social work training I did a six month placement with CLIC Sargent and got to experience first hand the work done by amazing people in exceptional circumstances. CLIC Sargent provide social workers, nurses and play specialists to give emotional, practical and financial support to children with cancer and their families through the most traumatic experience imaginable.

Seeing and being a part of the indispensable work CLIC Sargent do has inspired me to run the London Marathon for them. I've got a lovely pink vest and an impressive brace of calf muscles to show for it so far, but that's not enough.
