Mid and North East Essex Mind's purpose is to offer hope and support for good mental health, so that no one feels alone. We are affiliated to the national Mind charity however we are financially independent. We provide mental health support services across Mid and North East Essex.

Story

We are fundraising in memory of our Mum Sarah Jane Jarvis who we sadly lost to to suicide in March of last year. We are raising money for Mid and North East Essex Mind, to deliver suicide prevention training to GP surgeries in Wivenhoe and elsewhere in the Colchester area.  Our Mum received some support from Mind and this charity, which works to help those suffering from mental illness, is incredibly close to our hearts. As Sarah Jane loved to dance, we are holding a "Dance-a-thon" to raise money in her memory, to fund a really worthwhile project. You can enter the Dance-a-thon as part of team of up to 8 people, and raise sponsorship via this page, or just donate and come and support us on the day - 28 April 2019 - at Broomgrove Infant School, Wivenhoe.  There will be great music, competitions and non-stop dancing, including zumba, salsa and line dancing from 10am till 8pm.  Come along and join in, for an hour or ten, it's up to you.  But dancing or not, please donate.
