On January 12th 2017 I was in surgery for 4 hours to remove my large intestine. Previous to this i was suffering from ulcerative colitis for 5 years where i had all kinds of medicines from basic pain killers to steroids and also injections. These didn't work at all and sometimes made it worse. My wife was due to have a baby in mid 2017 and I really wanted to be a better father and healthier father. I was determined to have this surgery and get fully fit. 

It is a life changing operation and I will never be 100% fit, however I am better and coping with the side affects of having a stoma bag. I am always very conscious of my bag and sometimes feel bad that I cannot carry or lift heavy items. 

Many people suffer and don't tell anyone. This charity help people like myself to be more aware of the issues and get like minded people together. Please support me and my family.
