Escape The Wild · 26 June 2019 to 28 June 2019 ·

We have funded over 100 research projects tackling many forms of cancer. In 2012 we opened a dedicated clinical trials centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary to offer patients access to new medicines and therapies. We also fund two nurses who add to the care and support trials patients receive.

Story

Thanks for visiting our page.

Our business center team at Farmer and Carlisle are supporting Hope Against Cancer this year in their 'Escape the Wild' outdoor challenge in the Lake District from the 26th - 28th of June.

Escaping the wild not only involves two nights sleeping and cooking in the mountains, but participants are put to the test by trekking across 20km across rugged terrain, crossing rivers, abseiling over waterfalls, scrambling up gorges and river beds as well as competing at problem solving and various survival activities. It is a real endurance test which pushes the limits for a worthy cause.

All donations go directly to Hope Against Cancer; a charity based in Leicestershire & Rutland who work in partnership with local universities and hospitals to fund cutting-edge research for early detection, treatment and prevention of cancer. All donations big or small will be greatly appreciated and will help to continue the fantastic work and support that this organisation is committed to providing for the local community.
