So why am I doing this? Well it originally started off as a "challenge accepted" idea when James and I were talking about people doing the Jurassic Ultra 2023. He suggested at the time "neither of us" could do it (being that both of us are far from slim). Myself being the person I am, rose to the challenge and exclaimed "challenge accepted". The original sponsorship was going to be for a mental health charity after the help I received before and throughout the pandemic. 

Unfortunately however, a dear friend and colleague well known to the area of Wareham, Peter Barnes (known to most as Barno), recently passed away shortly after his battle with bladder cancer less than a week after his 69th birthday. Barno had worked with me for a number of years helping me build my taxi business up. He was a dear friend and everyone will say he had an absolute heart of gold. He is dearly missed, and as a tribute I had his old vehicle sign written with his name down the door of his old taxi. Barno for his 69th birthday chose on Facebook to raise money for Cancer Research UK. So therefore, I have decided to continue raising money as a further tribute to such a great man. 

I'm not the fittest person, however I am well determined to complete the course in the timescale allocated in memory of a great person. So please give a hand with raising money for such a deserving charity.
