Fatty Avoids A Heart Attacky · 1 September 2019

After such a fantastic response to our popular Week on the Street Project, Active for Autism was launched. We are a unique charity based in Wales dedicated to improving the lives of children w/ Autism. We provide funding for early intervention therapy, specialist equipment & training for parents.

Story

Fatty avoids a heart attacky

So
I used to be fab, now I’m full of flab. I used to be a hulk and now I’m all
bulk.

I’ve
made the decision to lose weight but thought I’d use it to motivate people to
donate to an autistic cause as I know hard it can be to cope with autism for
the sufferer and their family as I myself suffer from ADHD (Attention Deficit
Hyperactive Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Asperger’s Syndrome
& Tourette’s Syndrome.

As a youngster, I was bullied mercilessly which was tough for myself but
also for my family, as there was nothing they could do & no way they could
help me to ‘fit in’. I found that keeping busy & distracted helped, but
could also fuel my OCD, as I’d start a hobby, buy all the gear, then obsess
over it for some time before packing it in.

I was in great shape during my ‘obsessed with the gym’ phase & I’ve decided
to try and get back to looking at least half decent.

On my Facebook page, I’ll be uploading food diaries and exercise details for
everyone’s judgement! On top of this, I’ll also post updates about what
it’s like to live with Autism, anecdotes & random stuff relating to my
experiences.

And
let’s face it, we all love to donate to a cause if the persons getting
humiliated just a tad!
