Halstead & Essex Marathon · 11 May 2014

We're dedicated to beating blood cancer. We fund research and support those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. The day we beat blood cancer is now in sight and our researchers are determined to finish the job.

Story

The Commanding Officer of the 3rd Battalion Parachute Regiment (Lt Col Mike Shervington) and Number 6 (Guards) Platoon Commander (Capt Felix Wright) are racing each other in the Halstead Marathon on 11th May 2014. The wager accepted over a year ago was that whoever won would command the other’s respective unit.

One of our 3 PARA soldier’s daughter recently suffered from Leukaemia and has benefitted from vital support given by Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.  Thankfully to their help she has been in remission for the past two years. We hope to raise money to enable Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research to continue their fantastic work for others in their time of need.

Any support you are able to give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
