The Muir Maxwell Trust is one of the leading charities in the UK raising funds for paediatric epilepsy. The Trust's remit is to provide practical support to children with severe epilepsy and their carers, to increase awareness and understanding and to help remove the stigma associated with epilepsy.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Fettes Charity Run fundraising page.

This year our runners are supporting the Muir Maxwell Trust, an Edinburgh based charity which provides practical support to families across the UK caring for a child with severe epilepsy.

In the first instance MMT’s ambition is to provide a life-saving epilepsy alarm for every child in the UK with the condition.

Currently the Trust is launching an assessment service in Scotland through the paediatric neurology network which aims to properly assess the needs of all children living with epilepsy; including their health, educational and welfare concerns.

Additionally, the charity provides practical support in a variety of forms either directly to the family or through the NHS.

The Muir Maxwell Trust is considered the leading paediatric epilepsy charity in the UK.  Further information can be obtained through their website www.muirmaxwelltrust.com
