Fife Young Carers envisions a world where the roles and contributions of unpaid Young Carers and Young Adult Carers are recognised, and where these marginalised young people have the tailored, holistic support they need to thrive. We improve the lives of children and young people aged up to 25 in Fife with caring responsibilities by advancing education, employment, wellbeing and providing respite. We walk alongside Young Carers as they progress through life, empowering them to overcome barriers, stigma and low confidence, pursue their aspirations, and achieve a quality of life equitable to their peers. Our integrated services include person-centred, strengths-based one-to-one and group support; education, transitions and employability programmes; family mediation; befriending; and wellbeing support. We work systemically, raising awareness, training professionals and building strategic partnerships to identify hidden Carers, promote dignity and create environments where all Young Carers can build resilience, enhance confidence and realise their full potential.
