Story
On Saturday May 10th, the team named the "Filthy Animals" consisting of Daniel Cleaton, Steph Dixon, Ian Lamb, Laura Day, Craig Isherwood, Nicole Moulam, Tom Robinson, Christy Littler, Chris Henderson and Darren McWalters will be taking on the colossal Rat Race in aid of a good cause!!
The Rat Race is the World’s biggest-ever Assault Course consisting of 20 miles of off-road running with 20 zones, totalling some 200 obstacles across the full course.
The obstacle course is designed to put a persons all around strength, stamina, determination, and camaraderie to the test. The course will involve us climbing over 12 foot walls, making our way through underwater tunnels, swimming across freezing cold rivers, jumping from high rise platforms and fighting through mud, fire and ice-water!!!!
The Filthy Animals are taking on this mighty challenge to raise money for Habitat for Humanity who is an international development charity that aims to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness. Every morning 1.6 billion people wake up in appalling poverty. As a result, their health is poor, they struggle to earn a living, buy food or medicine and often cannot afford to send their children to school.
Across communities in over 70 countries including Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Habitat for Humanity has assisted more than 3 million people to renovate, repair or build over 600,000 homes since they were formed in 1976.
