Story

My friend, Alison, said she was thinking of doing the Great Scottish Swim in August and asked if I wanted to do it as well and in a moment of madness, I agreed.  The more I thought about it, however, the more I was looking forward to having a challenge (and also getting a t-shirt at the end of it!).  So from now until the end of August I am going to try and become a stronger swimmer as only started swimming again after not doing so since my teens and even though I can swim 1 mile, I really need to get a bit faster.

I have decided to raise money for Diabetes UK as it is a condition that it getting more and more common and my close friend, Steve and my cousin Ian are both insulin dependent.

If I raise my target that is excellent but obviously any more will be awesome!

Oh, did I mention I have to wear a wetsuit :-( !
