al-Salamu 'alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh,
We are a group of brothers who knew Ferdous (rahimahuAllah) and felt obliged to create this page due to the great impact he had on our lives.
"When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end apart from three: sadaqah jaariyah (ongoing charity); beneficial knowledge; or a righteous son who will make du`a' for him.” [Muslim]
We will be donating to Ummah Welfare Trust (100% donation policy). The money will go towards:
- SPONSORSHIP FOR 5 ORPHANS FOR ONE YEAR
Sahl b. Sa’d reported that the Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said, "I and the person who looks after an orphan will be in Paradise together like this..." - indicating with his forefinger and middle finger together. [Bukhari]
- 3 WATER WELLS
- 5 WATER PUMPS
Sa`d b. `Ubaadah said, "I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Should I give charity on her behalf?' He said, 'Yes.' I asked, 'What kind of charity is best?' He said, 'Providing water.'" [al-Nasa'i]
If we are able to exceed the current target, we will donate towards more causes on his behalf bi-idhnAllah.
ABOUT FERDOUS
Our beloved brother Firdaus (19 years old) has become a Shaheed inshaAllah while in the path of seeking knowledge. He was taken away by the waves into the sea in Egypt while swimming with friends. His body had been retrieved Alhamdulillah, the janazah took place and he has been buried in Cairo.
He was described as a brother with beautiful manners, as a brother who used to fast profusely and give in the way of Allah excessively especially when he was in dire need of it. He was known as amongst the people of Qur'an and a man of small words and much action. He was an active caller to Islam and many people entered Islam through him by the help of Allah, he was a role model for all, big and small and only Allah knows of all his private actions.
May Allah shower His Mercy on our beloved brother Firdous.
Glad Tidings
A local brother had a dream 2 months ago that he saw Firdous in Jannah, he was crossed legged sitting on grass, there were birds flying, and there were flowers, he was wearing a white thobe and a white kuffi just like he wore in the dunya. The brother got a tafsir of the dream, the shieck he spoke to asked him did he know this man in the dream, he said yes, then he asked is he a good man, he said yes, the shieck said to tell the brother that whatever he is doing to continue what he is doing, he asked shall I tell the brother about the dream he said yes. Firdous was then told about this beautiful dream. Many of us are very upset about our beloved brother, please spread this dream inshaAllah to ease our sorrows and that our dear brother has received the glad tidings.

*Noble Mohammed Firdows*
As-Salamu Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullah
I write about Firdows to inspire us all to pull our socks up and not be fool by satan, our desires and this world.
May Allah Shower his mercy on Mohammed Firdows. He was one of a kind, and yesterday, he left a footprint on my heart.
Firdows is loved by everyone, his family, friends, classmates and teachers. He was even an inspiration to his elders.
He had high aspirations and great hope, as well as fear of an evil ending and meeting Allah while Allah is not happy with him.
Firdows showed numerous signs of sincerity. In his actions, speech and most of all his questions. Such as,
"Whats the benefit of studying hadiith?" and
"What does it mean if you do more good deeds when you are among brothers than when your in privacy?".
Mohammed Firdows' worries were the worries of the Ummah and his joy was in the joy of the Ummah.
In terms of manners and humility, Allah is his judge, but from what was apparent, the brother excelled in both. He would very rarely look into the faces of his housemates, never mind his teachers and other elders.
Yesterday, as we entered his room after his departure (may Allah have mercy upon him) we were struck with sadness. He his left the life of comfort among his affectionate family, to come and study the religion of Allah, sleeping on a thin mattress on the floor. Determined and devoted, the brother did not tire from a life of zuhd (abandoning this worlds luxuries) and seeking pure knowledge.
As we looked up at the wall we noticed a timetable which showed his day, starting from 4am to read the book of Allah. Memorizing a minimum of two pages a day and four hours of revision, he intended to complete the Quran. We ask Allah to give him the reward of the Haafith.
On the top of his time table we read:
اللَّهُمَّ لاَ سَهْلاً إِلّاَ مَا جَعَلّتَهٌ سَهْلاً وَأَنّتَ تَجّعَلَ الحَزَنَ إِذَا شِئتَ سَهْلاً
"Oh Allah! Nothing is easy except what You have made easy. If You wish, You can make the difficult easy."
Our brother Firdows stayed firm on that schedule from what was apparent. Going from one place to another, with his gaze lowered, he was sometimes seen also reciting the word of Allah. He would even walk fast past his own housemates without know it was them, and would realize it was then until they would give him a little fright, at which he would laugh.
The brother had two piles of books on his desk. On the top of his right pile was an Arabic book called "High Aspirations" and on the left pile was "Characteristics of the hypocrites". A believing bird in this world flying with a wing of hope and a wing of fear, and now a bird in the everlasting paradise (We hope the best from Allah).
Firdows' social life was really limited, as he had special achievements to achieve. Only once did he sit in the room of one of his housemates for 3/4minutes. But even then, he said, "What am I doing...Shaytaan".
During Itikaf (or something similar) a much older brother mentioned that Firdows would never sit back and relax like us. He was always on point in his worship. Later this brother said that Firdows is one of the few or only one that was younger than him, yet he looked up to the 19 year old brother. He said this with all due respect to the gathering, as he wept.
One of his previous teachers said to another brother, "I love firdows deeply."
And one of his current teachers, who come to his house every Saturday night would regularly bring him food and gifts such as clothes. He calls Firdows, "The great Firdows", and last week, he bought him a coat. Tonight when he comes to the house expecting to meet his beloved student, he will be informed of the news, may Allah make it easy for him.
Where ever and when ever, Firdows would always look for ways to increase his properties and position in paradise. On the day before he left this world, he realized that to brothers in the house were fasting. so he quickly left and got enough food for them to break their fast, planting his last seeds for the Hereafter.
On one occasion I was walking at night with him, we were in a deep conversation. However, all of a sudden, he put his fingers in his ears whilst we walked. Shame on me, it took me a few seconds to realize why he had done that. There was music being played, and this was a reflex from him, as we blink when water is sprinkled on our faces.
We judge Firdows by this, However Allah is his judge.
I ask everyone to pray for him and try and give some sort of sadaqah on his behalf. We would all love for this to be done for us, especially now that his deeds have stopped, unless he left an ongoing deed.
Only Allah knows how much we miss you, our brother and yearn to be with you once again. It was an honor to meet you, but now you have vanished from our lives, nonetheless, you will never vanish from our remembrance. May Allah be pleased with you.
As-Salamu Alaykum Wa-Rahmatullah

(Ustaadh Alomgir Ali):
Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raaji'oon.
إن لله ما أخذ و له ما أعطى و كل شئ عنده بأجل مسمى
He used to study at Tayyibun Institute-Uk as well as Dar al Arqam.
Subhanallah, this brother was unique in many ways, but what made him stand out for me was his manners and desire for knowledge. Whenever he greeted me, he had such a beautiful smile as if he came across an old lost friend. On a number of occasions I remember him standing alone outside of the mosque waiting for what seemed like an opportunity just to give Salam and say a few words.
I also vividly remember after seeing once after Jumuah that I said to myself: I wish I had his character.
Whether I was giving a lecture or a khutbah, he was there at front row, with pen and paper, eagerly writing notes. From what I remember, he was one of the few brothers who wrote detailed notes during the reading of Ibn al Qayyim's book on paradise (Haadi al Arwaah). May Allah make him from its people.
Imagine dying whilst on a path seeking to memorise and internalise the words of Allah. And imagine drowning at sea and then be given the status of a shaheed. Allahu Akbar. Perhaps Allah saw the love he had for his words and deen and so decided to take him to protect him from the trials of this life and shower him with His graces and bounties of the afterlife. May Allah make it be so.
