Dearest Friends,

As many of you know, 5 teams completed The Three Peaks Challenge in aid of Firefly International in May 2018. It was a great achievement for all involved.

Firefly provides art resources and education to refugee camps in Turkey and fosters multi-ethnic youth projects in Syria, Bosnia and Palestine. Our Directors have recently returned from Turkey and were amazed by the work that is going on out there to educate and rehabilitate Syrian refugee children. Without our fund-raising efforts, this would not be possible.

Hadrian’s Wall

May 2019 is now just around the corner and we have decided to embark on Part 2.

Given that the charity is about supporting refugees who are fleeing from conflict across borders, this year we are proposing to walk the length of Hadrian’s wall. A very notable border indeed.

The walk is 83 miles and is not for the faint hearted. It is a test that will require training and tenacity to complete. (As well as an endurance for very sore feet).

Firefly International is a charity that we all believe in and support
