In January I'm flying out to Uganda to volunteer on a government funded scheme. This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. (Did you know that over 70% of people in Uganda are under 25?).

ICS works with communities that have specifically requested their help. It also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development. Whilst I'm in Uganda my work is going to focus on sexual health and improving the livelihood of the local youths. 

I need to raise £800 for Restless Development who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work. You can check out their amazing work here: restlessdevelopment.org 

I have always said that I want to make a difference in the world and now I’m walking the walk rather than just talking the talk. Anything you can donate will be appreciated and any ideas you have for fund-raising are welcome.
