Story

Our beautiful daughter Millie was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in April. I ran the Liverpool marathon in May and raised a huge amount for the national type 1 diabetes charity JDRF. Since diagnosis, Millie has been under the care of the John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford. As parents, we had absolutely no idea how to help Millie but the education department in the hospital have been incredible helping us to understand the condition and how to deal with it. I have been on a year long running challenge, running at least 3 miles a day for a year, which I have nearly completed. I am also running the Oxford half marathon in October so wanted to raise some money for a local charity that has helped us and Millie. So please, if you have a spare fiver, or even a pound or two, help me reach my target and give me the motivation to complete my challenges!!
