<p>&nbsp;</p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp;">Thank you for visiting this fundraising page which we have set up in memory of our beloved daughter and sister Fiona who died from heart complications related to type 1 diabetes in February 2010. Fiona was just 38 years old when she died.</span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp;"><br></span></p> <p>Donations made on this site are helping fund a bioresource study of type 1 diabetes. This project is based at the University of Dundee and is being conducted by a group of doctors and research nurses across Scotland. It aims to research the causes of type 1 diabetes and its complications including genetic and environmental determinants.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We would like to acknowledge the generosity of Fiona's godfather Bev Jackson, and the executors of his estate, whose legacy to Fiona resulted in a &pound;10,000 donation to Diabetes UK, helping us support this specific project in her memory.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp;"><br></span></p>
