Story

Lisa Dawn Rigano left this world on the morning of April 10th 2018 for her final journey home. A true Earth Angel, she possessed the most beautiful, sensitive soul. Blessed with an undeniable light, a quick laugh, brilliant mind, abundant heart, creativity, wisdom, compassion and kindness - she was an extraordinary woman who profoundly touched the lives of all who knew her- family, friends and colleagues from around the world.

Lisa loved life and lived hers courageously, without fear, restriction or regret- refusing to accept the status quo, choosing instead to ask the big questions, push the boundaries of human potential and explore the myriad of possibilities within consciousness and belief. A digital innovator, world traveler (over 30 countries), artist, photographer, musician, author, marathon runner, pilot, and so much more, Lisa’s 35 years encompassed a myriad of adventures that surpass what many will experience within a lifetime.

An old soul, wizened beyond her time, Lisa saw more than most, feeling this existence deeply- the joy, beauty and pain; the very real and present suffering endured by so many upon this Earth, a weight she carried deeply.

Lisa believed in honesty, transparency and justice for all beings. An advocate for the Earth, animals and those less fortunate, she was a passionate vegan, whose life choices were made with the intent to alleviate suffering and open others to a more humane lifestyle rooted in balance and respect for all living things.

Many have reached out with the sincere desire to honor Lisa’s memory and the impact she had on their lives and we cannot think of a better way to celebrate the woman she was than through the support of Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, an organization whose work she greatly admired. In this way, Lisa lives on not only within our hearts, but in the sanctuary offered to these beings and the beauty of all things.

In Love + Gratitude,

Richard, Kathleen + Sarah Rigano

About Woodstock Farm Sanctuary

http://woodstocksanctuary.org/

Woodstock Farm Sanctuary envisions a peaceful world rooted in respect and justice for all living beings. They work tirelessly to rescue farmed animals and give them care and sanctuary, connecting animals with people through onsite interaction and education, with the mission of advancing veganism and advocating for animal rights in alliance with other social justice movements.

Visitors are welcome to come and meet the animals, over 400 and
counting, who are most commonly exploited and abused in animal agriculture. Animal residents are given lifelong sanctuary at their property in High Falls, NY and are treated with respect as individuals. By giving farmed animals the chance to live their lives, and by sharing their often challenging stories of abuse and mistreatment, the aim of
Woodstock Farm Sanctuary is to open minds and hearts to the adoption of a vegan lifestyle to reduce suffering for all.
