ALWAYS & FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS

It's been a while since we have updated the site - a year almost. But as we approach a year without Trish it's time to start raising money in her memory. This is part of her legacy - Trish loved the fact that the orignal £750 target was beaten, and under pain of death - we were not allowed to change it. So I won't be changing it forever more. So thank you for helping Trish beat her target - and for giving so generously in support of her in the past.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month but as per Trish's request in previous years - our fundraising will take place in December. I'll be doing the Old Trafford Sanat Run ( or walk in my case) with Mr B and Amy on December 4th round Old Trafford. Please sponsor us here or join us on the day.

Our annual Coffee Afternoon will carry on. 10th December is the date for the diary so i hope you can join us in Worsley and bring a cake or two with you. The focus isn't on raising money this year - it's all about celebrating Trish and the wonerful memories she has given us all. So I hope you can join us from mid-day onwards to help celebrate Trish.

A big thank you to the DASH FOR CASH runners. Earlier in the year you did the 5km run in whitworth and raised £360 or so. And in 2012 Mike will hopefully be planning that long talked about 3 Peaks Challenge - so start training now.

Thanks again for your support. Don't forget to sponsor us and hope to see you on December 10th XX

It is with deep sadness and sheer sorrow that we have to announce that our beautiful lovely Trish has lost her long courageous fight against pancreatic cancer.

We can't begin to tell you how heartbroken we are. As is everyone who ever knew her.

We are carrying on with the fundraising in her name and hope you continue to show your support.

ARCHIVE:

In September this year our world was rocked when Trish was told she has Pancreatic Cancer. The days and weeks since have been a whirlwind of anger, fear, tears and just plain shock! But through it all our wonderful sister has been the bravest, strongest and still the funniest person in the world.  We may never come to terms with why but know we have got to do our bit. Inspired by Trish we've decided to rasie some cash for Pancreatic Cancer UK. A national charity dedicated to fighting pancreatic cancer on all fronts. So please give or do whatever you can. We'll update you on how Trish is doing, and let you know about any activities we might be planning.

FANTASTIC. Family, friends and workmates came to our coffee and cakes afternoon in Worsley and helped raise £248 in just four hrs. WELL DONE and Thank you sooo much. Trish has started chemo this week and we are hoping all goes well. Your contributions have really lifted her spirits and she sends you her thanks, love and best wishes -  she is extremely proud of you all. We'll update you on how things are going in the new year and although we have reached our initial target, we'll keep this site open. MERRY XMAS & All the best for 2010 XXXXX

It's been a busy month, Lylah's birthday (now 2), the arrival of Great Nephew George, and a visit to ex- colleagues at the MEN last week where she met up with Jim Kershaw, who will be doing the BRATHAY WINDERMERE Marathon on May 16th (see below). Look out for a picture of Jim and Trish in the MEN, Stockport Express, Salford Advertiser and Rochdale Observer soon. Next month Trish will hopefully be back behind the wheel and out and about a bit more. It's been a while - so residents of Whitworth - you've been warned!

Just a little update on how Trish is doing. Only 2 weeks left on Chemo (yay) and then CT scan to test her liver. We are all praying for good news as she is coping really well, and surprising doctors week by week. She has recovered from an infection and thankfully her sugar levels are back to 7ish which is much better than 14!!

May has been another busy month, learning to drive again (haha), welcoming Great Niece Isabelle to the family and getting all emotional as Lylah said GanMa for the first time. Keep up the good work. Every penny donated makes us all feel very proud and thankful that so many people think so highly of our sister. As the add says - "she's worth it!"

Thanks again for supporting Trish in her fight against pancreatic cancer, and if you can, please do sponsor Jim.

It's Pancreatic Cancer Awareness week so I hope as many of you as possible are dressin in purple and raising funds in support o Trish. We are having our Christmas Coffee Afternoon on Dec 5th at my place. Please do come along if you can, bring your cash, buy a cake, bake a cake and support my wonderful big sister. If you can't, why not make a donation h to show your continued support. X

As you may already know, we're having a bit of a bad time at the moment. Chemo has not been succesful and the cancer has spread to the liver. The new drug trial Trish was going to attend has been postponed as she is too poorly, very tired and started being sick - so it's back into hospital this weekfr tests. We raised £350 at the Crimbo Coffee afternoon beating last years total so a big thank you again to all who contributed.

It's so nice that so many people think the world of Trish, just as much as we do. :) XX

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.
