Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Taking part in this SDW Challenge are Caroline Barnham, Janine Kiely, Joanne Watson, Marie-Louise Johnson, Helen Young, Penelope Bates, Amanda Pugh, Nicki Darrah, Caroline Monkcom, Jane Lister and Tracey Kendall.

We are a group of mums, who have set ourselves the challenge of walking for two days (25/26 June) along the South Downs Way in order to raise funds to support the wonderful children and amazing staff of Osborne School, a special secondary school in Winchester. We are planning to walk approximately 50 kilometres over two days in midsummer, stopping half way overnight for some R & R before completing our challenge.

Thank you for any support you can give to this worthy cause as this will fund a vital upgrade to their Light and Sound Sensory Room which is in use on a daily basis by students who have sensory impairments and sensory processing difficulties. The room has not received any upgrade since the school opened in 2003 so it needs new equipment, curtains, flooring and a coat of paint so that it can continue to meet the needs of the very special pupils who attend.
