As my sister, Chloe, sadly, and a lot more rapidly than we expected, reached the end of her young life, the team at this beautiful hospice made her as comfortable and peaceful as possible. I am fortunate enough to have a final audio message that Chloe ever sent me, in which she said about the wonderful staff there, ‘They’re lovely here. They’re looking after me really well’ and that they’d even put ‘strawberries on [her] straw’ to make it like a cocktail. It’s the little (and many huge) things they did for her and my family that made her final days as peaceful as possible, and brought a little light to such a dark time. Thank you so very much. I hope this challenge enables more people to benefit and receive such amazing care in their most painful times.
