The ladies are about to embark on their annual Race for Life
challenge.
As you may remember, our first foray into this magnificent event was in 2012 when Jane Eyre asked a group of us to join her in a 5km ‘stroll’ around Temple Newsam Park. Following our amazing success of all actually crossing the finishing line we embarked on our 2nd outing a year later. Unfortunately, despite Jane’s determination she lost her brave battle with cancer on 4th June 2013. However, to honour her the group continued and, joined by members of Jane’s family and other friends, we again completed this tremendous challenge.
2014 sees our next challenge, with many of us now trying to beat our previous personal best times and some going for the 10k distance, and continuing to fundraise for this charity that was dear to Jane’s heart and which has helped many others over the years.
