Story
Hello there, and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I really appreciate it. I am fundraising for Diabetes UK, a charity that cares for, connects with, and campaigns on behalf of everyone affected by diabetes. When I was 14, I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Amazing advances have been made in recent years, but I still look forward to a future without diabetes!
From the 4th to the 7th September, I cycled from London to Paris with around 30 other committed (some might say bonkers) cyclists. It was immensely tough. I cried in the middle of a valley in Surrey. I fell off my bike in the middle of Normandy. My legs are very, very literally black and blue. But we did it. We made it to Paris, pedaled through some beautiful French countryside, enjoyed wonderful Normandy hospitality, and - most importantly - we didn't get flattened as we cycled around the Arc de Triomphe.
The ride is over, but the fundraising isn't. Diabetes UK still needs your help in order to continue helping those affected by diabetes and to push for a cure. If you can, please consider making a small donation. It will really help.
Thank you to all those who have donated so far. For this, I cannot thank you enough. You're the real heroes, and your money will do many good things.
Thank you.
