Friends' School Lisburn is raising money for Friends' School Lisburn
Story
Friends’ School Lisburn has a proud sporting tradition. We are fortunate to have spacious grounds at School and are committed to ensuring that all our pupils enjoy the best possible facilities. To that end, over recent years we have made significant investment in our purpose built Sports Hall and Fitness Suite, two sets of Astroturf tennis courts, two ‘Prunty’ rugby pitches and cricket wickets.
We aim to continue to enhance our provision on site and intend to lay down an Astroturf hockey pitch, with floodlights, on the existing shale pitches in front of the Sports Hall. Full planning permission for the facility has been granted. The situation is ideal as the Sports Hall has changing facilities for home and visiting teams and there is car parking space alongside.
The target for this sand dressed pitch project with the necessary safety fences, floodlights and accessories is £500,000 ( Phase 1 £350,000)
Such a facility will be of great benefit to our pupils now and in the years to come, as well as to the wider community.
