Just a quick note to let you know about this year's 2008 event: WE MADE IT!!

The trail walk started at 9am on Friday morning (May 16, 2008) and we competed the 100 walk in 46h33min, finishing around 7:30am on Sunday morning!! (86th out of 205 teams is not too bad!) - Official Result
We are so proud that the 4 of us could finish the walk all together as a team, it really was a great experience for all of us!

It's the 2nd time that the Oxfam Trailwalker event takes place in Japan, and we, as an only "girls" team from Fidelity Japan, have decided to join the event this year which will be held from May 16th - 18th, 2008. It is definitely one of our toughest physical challenge of our lives, walking 100km in 48 hours…you might think this is crazy, almost a mission impossible…but we will try!

This Oxfam Trailwalker is one of the toughest team challenges in the world: in a team of four, all participants will have to complete a 100km trail walk in the mountains/national parks near Mount Fuji within 48 hours. There's no doubt that months for training is required to accomplish this goal. You can find more details of the event at the following website: About Oxfam Trailwalker 2008, About Oxfam

We should also not forget to mentioned that this is an opportunity to help some of the world's poorest people: funds raised from Trailwalker are used to support the work of Oxfam to overcome poverty & suffering in some of the poorest areas of the world.

We would like to take our first step to make changes_ nothing will be achieved if we do not take any action, let's make this mission "possible"!

Donating through this site is very simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Again, many thanks for your support.

Regards,
