Story
On the 23-25 June 2016, to coincide with Armed Forces Day, 12 soldiers (many of whom are struggling with their own injuries) will be cycling from the West to East Coast of England, cycling through 3 national parks and completing 3 of the countries biggest ascents.
The Soldiers Charity has helped the families of 2 of our soldiers who are now in the final RV. When we lost them the ABF was there to help. The memories of those soldiers will live on; due to the help from the Soldiers Charity we all know we will get a lifetime of care. Its now time for us to give something back.
The 200 mile journey will be completed in 3 legs, stopping off to raise money in Richmond and Stockton on Tees - both of whom have graciously granted the Battalion the freedom their towns. Day 1 is known as the 'hurt locker' and will be over 100 miles and include the 3 ascents. Day 2 and 3 will be 'the burn!'
The ride will finish at Whitby where we will remember some of our fallen brothers are Heroes Bridge and take part in Armed Forces Day celebrations. We will also RV with another team of 12 soldiers from the Battalion who are completing a weighted march from Catterick.
