Story
My niece Libby was prenatally diagnosed with an encephalocele and hydrocephalus during pregnancy and we were given no hope of survival. We got in touch with Spina Bifida/hydrocephalus Scotland. The hope, support and information given by Sophie from SBHS gave Libby the chance of life where doctors wanted to terminate. She also helped put the referral in to Glasgow to see the specialist neurosurgeons where they helped give Libby the best start to life. Libby is now one years old, and despite having varying disabilities she is thriving. SBHS continue to help and support both Laura and Libby with her medical needs.
I am cycling 500km during 2021 in order to raise money for this wonderful charity, in the hopes of giving more people the amazing chance we were given with Libby.
