This year we have launched the HALO Staff Challenge. Our staff across the world will be dreaming up epic, fun and unusual challenges to raise money for HALO, competing in a friendly rivalry to see which country programme can raise the most funds.

Story

For my first ever proper fundraising, I'm attempting to do 100 headstands in 100 days (INJURY PERMITTING!) for The HALO Staff Challenge.

The HALO Staff Challenge launched in 2019 - an friendly fundraising competition to raise money for The HALO Trust, the world's largest mine clearance charity.

I joined HALO when I was 23 and have always known they are one of the most effective charities in the world and I'm proud to play a small part in sharing the wonder of our work.

My motto is 'cardio is hardio' so I have decided to challenge myself with another passion/sanity checker close to my heart: yoga.

I will attempt to do 100 headstands over the next 100 days (injury permitting), outwith my normal yoga practice. I will post my daily attempts on Instagram (internet permitting!) as social proof of my efforts.

Any donations will encourage me to keep going with this somewhat ridiculous challenge - and I can guarantee that every penny raised goes towards clearing landmines around the world.

They are one of the worst weapons every made and need to be consigned to the history books.
