Thanks for taking time to visit my page. At the end of August I will be challenging myself to complete at least 100K in 10 days (62 miles). I will be doing this by a different method of exercise every day. My plan is: -

Friday 25th August - mountain bike (20k) - Rivington
Saturday 26th August - climb (0.5k) (85 times up the wall) - West View Leisure Centre
Sunday 27th August - mountain hike (10k) - Dufton pike/High Cup Nick
Monday 28th August - run (10k) - Fleetwood/Blackpool beach front
Tuesday 29th August - road bike (30k) - Guild Wheel, Preston
Wednesday 30th August - walk (10k) - Moor Park, Preston
Thursday 31st August - pool swim (2k) - Fleetwood Swimming baths
Friday 1st September - climb (0.5k) (65 times up the wall) - West View Leisure Centre
Saturday 2nd September - Paddle board (7K) and open water swim (2k) - Windermere and Coniston
Sunday 3rd September - football match (8k) - Morecambe

I class myself as fairly fit but I'm telling you now...I am rubbish at all of the above! So I will be working hard training most days from now until the event.

There are 2 purposes to this challenge. The first being I lost my Grandad, Louis Brown, to cancer over 10 years ago and I remember it like it was yesterday. He always has been and always will be an inspiration to me in many aspects of life whether it the joy he brought to so many lives , or his appreciation of fine wines! So I will be doing this for him,

The second purpose of this is to contribute to one of my best friends Charlotte and Stuart Healy's campaign to raise £10,000 for Cancer Research UK. I have personally been touched by the journey their family have been on over the passed 10 years. Below is the story of their campaign: -

"10 Grand Years" is a campaign to raise £10,000 to celebrate the 10 grand years we've had since our beautiful mum's life changed forever.
Over the years mum, along with millions of others, has had tens of thousands of pounds worth of treatments and continues to benefit from the new drugs thanks to the work Cancer Research UK have done. Unfortunately everybody knows somebody who isn't here to tell their story, so please help us ensure that this great work they do continues as there are breakthroughs every day! No amount of money raised would do justice to how grateful we are and continue to be every single day.
Every penny will go to Cancer Research UK to do even more research to produce more drugs to save even more peoples lives."
