The poorest in the world simply don’t have the means to get married or start a family. It’s a sad reality that affects orphans and young women especially, they are seen as burdens to their families and society, but it doesn’t have to be this way, together we can make a difference!
This year I have set myself a target with the award-winning humanitarian charity Penny Appeal to launch “Say, I Do!” – a unique campaign to help the most in-need communities around the world alleviate the costs of getting married - with our first priority to help young orphan women across West Africa and South Asia.
I’ve taken up the gruelling challenge to run the London Marathon in April to help 100 couples for just £1,000 each, paying for the full cost of their wedding, giving them new home furnishings and a special wedding gift pack – a beautiful beginning to completing half of their faith.
Will you “Say, I Do!” and help a new family with a £1,000 donation (Wedding costs, new home furnishings and wedding gift) Or give just:
£50 - Wedding gifts
£150 – Wedding gift & new clothes for the couple
£300 – Wedding costs, including Nikkah ceremony, Walima and food
£550 – New home furnishings (including repairs, plumbing, furniture, kitchenware, beddings and deco)
£1000 - Complete wedding cost including (Wedding cost, home furnishings and wedding gift)
Help fulfil the needs of others and witness Allah fulfil your needs. Bismillah. Sponsor my London Marathon run and “Say, I Do” with Penny Appeal today!
