Story

On 7th November I will be completing a 100 mile bike ride, raising
money for the RSPCA East Winch Wildlife Centre. This is the centre that treated the male mute swan after it was injured at Fen Park in Lowestoft .

The Swans (his "mate" stayed at the park for the majority of the time, waiting for his return) mean alot to people who use the park, myself included, so I wanted to do something to raise money for those that helped him.

I want to do something a bit silly, therefore the route isn't a big circular route, it will be up and down Lowestoft promenade from The South Pier to Kensington Gardens (1 mile each way), so pretty repetitive, managing the monotony will be interesting, up and down, repeat 50 times.

I'm not making it easy for myself either,  I will be riding my heavy old, sit up and beg 1968 Raleigh bike (photo below in the updates), just to make it more of a challenge. It will mostly be in the dark and the weather could also be pretty miserable, but unless it's a hurricane I'll be doing it.

I am going to start at The South Pier at 3pm on the 7th Nov and aim to finish by 12 pm, depending how much I stop for pizza, pasta, chocolate and coffee. Feel free to come and join me for some of it if you want (it won't be difficult to find me) and/or come and give me a shout for some encouragement.

If you are able to donate, then thank you very much.
