Fire Fighters Charity provides care and support to the UK’s fire family. It helps with any health and wellbeing challenges firefighters, control staff, and everyone working in – or retired from – the UK’s fire services, as well as their families, may face - during and after service

Story

The three of us from Green Watch, Bishops Stortford are proud to be fundraising for The Firefighter's Charity by completing a 100 mile run.

On the 14th June 2018 we will start from our home town of Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire and end 100 miles later at The Firefighter's Charity rehabilitation centre, Marine Court, Littlehampton in West Sussex.

Covering 100 miles in around 24 hours along towpaths, main roads, over rivers, box hill, the South Downs and through the night, we will be in pieces by the end.

The preparation for the run will be massive, from planning a route across most of the South East to completing 3000 miles in training between us.

When Firefighters need support to recover from illnesses, injury and psychological trauma, The Firefighter's Charity is there to support the Fire Service Community.
