Story
The past few months have been tough for everyone, but coronavirus has hit those affected by dementia the hardest and continues to disrupt lives.
Throughout lockdown, we were not allowed to visit Mum in her Care Home- even though we were told that she had weeks to live.
After campaigning to get to see her and not being able to be with her for 8 months, we were “allowed” to be with her when she passed away, holding her hand.
Mum left us to be in a better place, without dementia and back in my Fathers arms.
This run is in honour of Mum and Dad, and to raise awareness and money to help fight this cruelest of diseases.
