This year my Nan turns 100 years old… pretty impressive. She has been incredibly fortunate to stay cognitively healthy, able to tell us stories from her childhood, growing up in Germany during the 2nd world war and how she met an English soldier before moving to England. 

Having experienced what is is like to see other family members live with the progressive nature of dementia and through my job as a researcher in Alzheimer’s disease, I wanted a way to support the incredible work done by Alzheimer’s research UK. 

Hopefully, there will come a day where we can all reach 100 years old and remain able to share our stories with future generations.
