Story

Given the impact on loved ones in the last few years of mental health problems I am choosing to raise money for the campaign against living miserably (CALM).

This event is twice the length of the longest race I've done but knowing I am helping to support such a worthy cause will help get me through it.

Men are surrounded by unhealthy stereotypes and ideals of what 'being a man is like' and for many this can take a toll on their mental wellbeing to an extent they question whether they should even be alive.

I'm hoping by supporting CALM my long day  along the river bank can be turned into something really positive. Especially in the lows that will no doubt come with such a long endurance event.

I'm also raising money for McMillan Cancer support and the link to that page will follow in due course.
