On the 4th of August 4 teams of 4 members from Crossfit 1066 are competing at Manchester as part of the Battle Cancer functional fitness charity event to raise money for charity.
We will be put through four gruelling workouts against other teams with everyone finishing in a painful sweaty mess on the floor. For those who don’t know Crossfit is workouts where athletes must perform elements of Olympic Weightlifting, Gymnastics and High Intensity exercises against the clock.

Last year this event raised over £60000 for cancer charities and the organisers hope to exceed that figure this year, with your generous donations we can help make a difference.
We have chosen for all the money we raise to go to St Michaels Hospice which is a local hospice in the hastings area which provides alot of support and services for the local community and we would like to help them continue doing their excellent work.
Our 4 teams are;
1) Alex Nichols, Adam Newman, Chris Stern, and Sam Conner competing in the RX mens division
2) Bradd Merner, Jimmy Watson, James Morris, and Chaz Ackerley competing in the RX mens division
3) Cathy Sharp Bethan Davies, Zoey Jenks, and Amelia Freeman competing in the RX womens division
4) Nic Brewer, Scott Gilchrist, Chloe Campbell, and Sarah Goldsack competing in the Scaled mixed division
