Story
In support of my cousin Lara and National Blood Cancer awareness month, I will be running 108 miles this month to raise money for Anthony Nolan.
Lara, despite just being in and out of the hospital after her 2nd transplant, has set a goal of covering 108 miles this month to raise money for the Red Cross and refugees resettling in the UK. From Lara: "For the month of September I'll be walking 108 miles, the distance of Calais to London to raise money for the Red Cross supporting refugees in the UK. It'll be a considerable challenge for me considering I've spent the best part of nearly a year in hospital! )"
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorders. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. My miles will also be in deep gratitude to Lara's donor.
