On April 29th 2015 at
12.25am I lost my best friend; my Mum to Cancer.
Leading up to her final weeks,
she was cared for and looked after by the wonderful staff and volunteers at
Wakefield Hospice.
The Hospice relies heavily on
community fundraising and donations and I wanted to do something special to
raise money and awareness for an amazing cause.
In 2016 I took on and completed the self-penned 10K a Day in May challenge, completing 31 consecutive 10K runs in May and raising over 3500 pounds for the Hospice.
The support from family, friends and complete strangers was absolutely amazing, and because of this amazing support and gratitude from the Hospice, I have decided to do it all again in 2017.
If anyone is interested in taking part, please contact myself or the fundraising team at the Hospice for more details
