Story
As many of you reading this will know on the 22nd of September 2017 I lost my older brother Jerry to coronary heart disease. Jerry’s passing was unexpected and undiagnosed, it was the biggest shock you could ever imagine. Jerry was an incredible dad, fiance, brother, son, cousin, uncle and friend to everyone. Jerry has the kindest heart a person could have, he was funny, sharp, clever and gave the best hugs, which I miss very (X1000) much. Jerry loved all things Batman, Arsenal, edible and his family, we are all left to live our lives without him. Jerry was taken from this world far too young at age 39, he has left a massive hole in many people’s lives.
Jerry worked in the Toby Carvery, Borehamwood for a number of years where he brought a little bit of light into everyone’s day, his smile and laughter were wholly infectious. Similarly Jerry's tiring years working at Martins left him remembered by many locals, he had a wicked sense of humour that everyone loved. I often hope that Jerry is looking down on me and those he loved with the same grin, in a much better place ( but hopefully not watching Arsenal this season..)
I am running for the British heart foundation as we desperately need greater awareness of how we can look after our hearts, more research and better medicine. I don’t want any other family to have to experience what my family has had to go through. This is my second run for the BHF, so this time I’m going to up the anti and attempt 10K, which will be a proper challenge... SO PLEASE GET SPONSORING! Become apart of the fight against heart disease! (Gonna have some Wu - Tang Clan on in my headphones to help me get through it ... Jel’s fave) No donation is too little, and will be hugely hugely appreciated.
Rest in peace Jel (1977 - 2017)
