Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I like a challenge and inspired by Greg Reed who is the CEO of HomeServe UK who last year ran at least 3 miles a day every day for a year, I decided to set my own challenge.
So on 31st August, I set about planning how I could fit 10 miles a day into a busy working week, how I could overcome the challenge whilst travelling with work and how I squeeze in walks whilst away on holiday. On 1st of September, I started the challenge and at the time of writing and launching the page, I'm on my 15th Day and have no intention of stopping.
I chose Christie's based on the stories I have heard from friends, family and colleagues of the treatment and care they offer cancer patients. I've not heard a bad word said about them despite the pain and anguish most people who come into contact with Christies are going through. I hope my small personal challenge can go some way to helping Christies and your donations however small are greatly appreciated. I've picked a target which is effectively £1 a mile and I'll look to provide updates on here on a monthly basis talking you through my trials and tribulations covering 10 miles a day.
Whilst, Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure, if you would prefer to give cash, I'll donate the money on your behalf so it enters the fund.
Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks in advance for the support, its currently pouring with rain and I'm about to embark on my 15th walk, only another 350 to go.
