It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest common cancer. More than half of people die within three months of diagnosis. Survival rates for other cancers have improved dramatically in recent years. But decades of underfunding mean we still don't have the tests and treatments to tackle this disease. People with pancreatic cancer have been overlooked and ignored for far too long. When you begin a race from behind, you have two choices. To remain behind or go faster. To do nothing. Or do more. So Pancreatic Cancer UK goes above and beyond for everyone affected by this brutal disease. That's why I'm fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK. Your donations will bring more breakthroughs through research, more change through campaigning, and more support through our expert nurses. Together, we can bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.

I’m Jamie and in September 2025 I'll be undertaking a driving challenge with my son Harley to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK. The aim is to complete a journey through 10 countries in 24 hours without any support. To make it even more interesting we're using a modern classic car that wasn't designed for long trips. More about this is on our webpage at 10in24.info

I've chosen to support Pancreatic Cancer UK because my mum Stella died from pancreatic cancer 30 years ago, since then both my middle brother John and my partner's brother Kevin also died from pancreatic cancer. More recently my eldest brother Dave has also been diagnosed with terminal Pancreatic cancer. The prognosis and suffering of those affected hasn't changed in over 30 years and the prevalence is rising. Part of the choice to support PCUK in particular is that they aren't just a research charity, their work includes promoting awareness and providing support to current sufferers and their families as well.

Massive progression has been made in detection, treatments, comfort of sufferers and overall prognosis of other cancers that have have had funding into research, support and awareness over the last few decades and thankfully they’re are speeding up progress now. Pancreatic cancer research and support services haven’t had the same level of funding to improve things. Please help us change this.

Thank you.
