Story
Will, Amy, Jason and Max (who is just 8 years old) will be aiming to walk 10km together for the South West Coast Challenge: Dunster Loop on 5th August 2023.https://www.ultrachallenge.com/the-10k-series/
Amy and William's little sister Helen was strong-willed, kind and would always face challenges head on. We wanted to do something in her name and in her spirit, whilst raising funds for UK Sepsis Trust; fighting against sepsis and preventing any other families from losing loved ones to this.
Jeff, Helen's husband, will be aiming to match this 10km distance on 4th August 2023 (albeit a different route, and individual to the 'Loop, closer to where he and Helen shared their lives together).
This will be Amy and Max's first big sporting event so we are not too sure how it'd go, but we will be sure to give it our bestest shot to get to the finishing line together. We will be working hard to be ready for this challenge in the height of summer, and every penny will be a huge encouragement to us. If you would rather donate time and effort, we would very much appreciate any fundraising or support you do to help us reach our target as well!
Thank you so much xxx
Fundraising is at the heart of our fight against sepsis. It raises awareness, and sparks the question: “What is sepsis? In this way, fundraising can help prevent thousands of deaths & unnecessary suffering through knowledge & awareness of the symptoms. It also funds our vital support work, Public Awareness, Educating Health Professionals & helping people adjust to life after sepsis through accessing our Support Group network. We also lobby government to support our cause and makes vital changes in areas such as the NHS.
